Default Views on Karma by Heidi Sawyer

"The principles of Karma are an interesting subject. One person is happy, another clever, someone else artistic and musical whilst another seems lucky or unlucky since birth.

Karma is the law of cause and effect. When we participate in one action it creates another to balance it. Some of these are perfectly within our control as it is part of our life now; others have taken place a long time before we were conscious within this lifetime.

Imagine you have numerous results of karmic debt from the past. Perhaps your soul energy in the past was learning about abandonment. Your soul memory has a recollection somewhere deep in your psyche of being left at a crucial point. Perhaps you did the leaving or you were left.

Now in your life maybe at the crucial point you find your best laid plans falling apart or people let you down no matter how clearly you state what you need as a requirement. This eats away at your attempts to progress in life and erodes your self-confidence. No matter what you seem to do it doesnt change. Is this karma? Possibly.

We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness, Buddhists believe in karmic law, the belief we have an individual responsibility for how our life pans out. Although I doubt most of us want to be full blown Buddhists, karmic law explains the problem of suffering, the mastery of fate and how we have the control over our own destiny, should we want it.

Knowing how to identify and adapt some of our karmic influences can achieve amazing results in our life. Learning what is needed to determine our own destiny with the freedom to apply our own free will."- Heidi Sawyer, Clairvoyant Psychic

I get these emails too Lee!!

I disagree with Heidi on a lot of things, as I believe that what spirit tell us, is open to our own interpretation, and sometimes I feel that Heidi is too keen to persuade us in to believeing her interpretation of things.

My own belief of karma is much the same as hers though. I live my life by doing no wrong to others, and being of good/positive intent. Helping those around you and those in need goes a long way to improving any karmic debt you might have. I think that's the best we can do

Karma has some drawbacks when it comes to looking at life. It can leave us pondering about the past too much rather than living in the now. I prefer the Law of Grace, acting out of unconditional love with no boundaries or limits. Trying to be a receiver and channel of as many blessings as possible, come what may, not looking backwards or forwards.

I agree with Colgeor on this... I also think Karma has been changed by man to suit mans needs. In other words Karma is Spirituality's/New Age version of heaven and hell. Just that you don't go to an actual hell. You are forced to work of your Karma as a force of punishment. When you are done being a slave you are then able to move to heaven, and break the karmic life and death cycle.

IMO, suffering does not come from karma... But of our own actions. I will not deny that things have a cause, and a effect, but not how we have been lead to believe. That we are being punished by the universe for our existence that they gave us. Our actions can also affect another person. Not because of karma but of cause and effect. A man that has a family, but does not manage his money properly will now affect him, and his family. Which would then cause suffering amongst them. Depending on how devastating the lose of money becomes. He created those actions, and reactions, not because of a karmic debt that needs to be filled like some barbaric blood debt.

I simply believe if one does a wrongdoing then it will only back at them in some form. That's what I believe karma is. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

It's a good philosophy to adhere to not because of any good of bad karma. But if you are rude to someone why shouldn't they be rude to you? Or the next person after that.
