Default New to Tarot, really enjoying it so far

I bought a deck that I love and I'm reading a few different books about card meanings, trying to just sit with each card energetically and understand what it represents. My friends know I bought a deck and are eager for readings already. I've done a few for myself and they were really, really accurate with only a few cards that didn't resonate for me. I've been feeling called toward a divination tool for a while and card have always attracted me.

Are there any easy to understand resources for beginners that you enjoy? I would love to share experiences with other Tarot folks. Do you journal your readings at all?

That's interesting. I used to use this site for help when I began using tarot:

I tend to write down some of my own readings for myself, but not too often I do so though.

Ha! That's the site I was on last night before I went to bed and found it to be really, really helpful. I like how they present the Fool's card in a story through the other Major Arcana, I finally have some understanding of how the cards connect.

I just finished up a course in Tarot, introduction, finalizing in the Celtic Cross Spread. It was very interesting, I took it at the Edgar Cayce Center in Manhattan, or A.R.E. center. It's just another tool in the toolbox.

I did my first reading today for a friend and it was really intense. I just had her shuffle the cards and spread them across so she could choose 3, the reading was startling in accuracy for her and it led to a really long discussion about some things that are urgently arriving in her life right now. While I was doing the reading I was feeling some big vibrations so I really knew it would be right on and wasn't nervous at all. I'm really excited!

Default New to Tarot

Another good book is the Tarot Bible - very good interpretations and key words, lots of different spreads to try to. I find this book very useful and use the vast and varied spreads (with some of my own interpretations as opposed to the suggested) for answering more specific questions.

I always write down as many of the readings I do as I possibly can to refer to at later date and to watch and evaluate my progression.

Good luck with your tarot journey.

Go well
