My grandma as a spirit guide
When I was a kid my grandma told me about Spirit guides and how everyone has them. She died when I was 17 and I have felt her with me ever since. Not having access to another medium I couldn't verify what I was feeling but it brought me comfort through the years to know she's been there.
Recently a friend contacted me who has been discovering her medium side developing very quickly over the last 8 months. She said that my grandmother had been contacting her and wanting to talk to me urgently, and I felt so happy to discover that my grandmother has indeed been with me and acting as a Spirit guide for my children. What I understand a spirit guide to be is a little whisper in your ear to help guide you and protect you from harm, but can not interfere with your free will. I would like to honor my grandmother and understand this relationship better, does anyone have information to share?

I would love to give you a reading, as I am a medium. Relatives can indeed be a spirit guide, as I have a grandmother that raised me until her death when I was 13, she has been around me for over 30 yrs!! I would love to see if I can bring your grandmother through, and I am so thrilled to hear that you have a friend who has achieved this already for you. she sounds like a wonderful person!! Just let me know, what you decide. I usually do my readings live, that is with you in a chat room with a microphone so I can talk, so much easier than typing! lol If you need verification on my ability to connect with spirit etc, just ask Lee here, as he knows how I work. Thank you for the generous and lovely offer, astral, I've pm'ed you.
My friend did a reading for me and verified that she was indeed speaking with my grandmother, it was really a comfort to know that I'm not just suffering from a chronic case of wishful thinking! lol
